Meet Mrs. Phillips
Mrs. Phillips has been teaching for 9 years. This is currently her 3rd year teaching in the Brookfield R-3 school district. For the previous 6 years, she taught in the neighboring town of Chillicothe. During those 6 years, she taught 4th grade and was also the elementary librarian. When asked what she likes most about the teaching in a rural school like Brookfield, she said, "I love having a very close relationship with my students and their parents. I have grown up knowing most of these families since I have lived in Brookfield my entire life. These type of relationships are hard to find in classrooms in large cities!" When Mrs. Phillips is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, Dane and Lottie, and her husband named Rusty. She loves to shop, spend time outside, and show her school spirit by cheering on the Brookfield Bulldogs. She also coaches middle school softball due to her passion for the game. |

When Mrs. McBroom is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family. She has two sons, Reed and Thorpe, and a husband named Mike. Mike also works at the school as the athletics director.
